I downloaded 13.6 UMS as I saw some people having success with it and now it works.
It also detects the subtitles which were missing with the newest non-beta version. Although it doesn't detect the language in the subtitle selections so you have to guess the correct subtitle, but hey at least it ...

FFMpeg stutter every second and mencoder audio delay
I just changed to a new PC and as also UMS itself seems to have made long progress so I can't tell what causes this. I'm streaming to PS3 and it happens with both wired and wireless.
With FFMpeg the video has a stutter every second, which seems to appear only when skipping to different parts of the ...

Re: Subtitle brightness for OLED HDR
The HSV, HSL,RGB, CMYK are just different ways of selecting a colour, RGB might be all you need. There is a transparency (or alpha on some) option there too.
It might be easier to use the web settings as the colour selector is simplified, all those other options are overkill anyway for subtitles ...

Re: Subtitle brightness for OLED HDR
I see some transparency settings in "common transcode settings" and "color". I guess I have to disable "use embedded style" and then configure these?
But how do I configure it correctly? So many options, HSV, HSL,RGB, CMYK....

Subtitle brightness for OLED HDR
Are there any recommended settings for subtitle brightness for OLED TV's?
Kinda like Netflix has semi-transparency options to prevent subtitles exploding in your face and cause burn in when watching HDR.

Re: PS3 renderer doesn't detect after modem change
Got it running.
Windows troubleshoot managed to enable a DHCP setting on the wired network, after which the IP of my PC controller turned into NAT-based 192.168... Forcing that IP in UMS makes it detect the PS3.
I also couldn't access the router setting page before windows did that.

Re: PS3 renderer doesn't detect after modem change
The cables go to the VMG1312 router from PS3 and PC, so they're connected through router. For some reason it doesn't work, I guess Windows fails to configure the whole thing it since there is no internet connection coming from the router... since this very modem as well worked just fine before, no ...

Re: PS3 renderer doesn't detect after modem change
A couple of obvious things to check:
1) If you use both wired and wireless network, and UMS and the PS3 are on different types, you need to make sure that the router is in "brige" mode to allow the communication to flow between the wired and the wireless networks.
2) The IP address of the ...

[Solved] PS3 renderer doesn't detect after modem change
I sold my cable modem that I used to connect to internet with (because I'm moving to an ethernet building), and I put my old VDSL2 Zyxel to act as a network sharing device in the meantime for PS3. But it didn't work, any idea why?

Re: DLNA buffering on gigabit network
What is reporting 282 mbps? It's a strange number to get from a gigabit network, although 65 mbps would be reasonable for a 100 mbps network. Are you referring to UMS' "speed check"? If so, it's not so strange as it's not suitable to measure such high speeds, as it uses very small packets when ...
