[Solved] Don't want local media folders displayed
I've created virtual folders using the VirtualFolders.conf file and this works fine. There's no need for me to add physical folders in the Shared Content tab, so I leave "Shared Folders" in this tab empty. However, for some reason UMS now adds my Windows local media folders (Music, Video, ...

Re: All music files starting with letter "T" go wrong
I found the problem. It is indeed the value specified in "Minimum item limit before using A-Z folders". And - important - it's not sufficient to change the value and select the button "Restart server". You have to shutdown UMS, wait a little, and relaunch it. I increased the valu...

All music files starting with letter "T" go wrong
I have a strange problem that I've noticed yet (but maybe it exists longer). It's a little hard to explain, but I will try... My music library consists of a large amount of FLAC-files, and are on a hard disk of 4TB. This harddisk has a folder \Music that is defined as a shared folder in UMS. Under t...

Re: Cannot delete folders played using UMS
It is not the checkbox "Monitor played status of files", this setting has no effect on the problem. But I discovered another interesting thing using the tool Process Explorer that I ran on the Windows pc where UMS is running. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-...

Re: Cannot delete folders played using UMS
Do you mean the checkbox "Monitor played status of files" in the "Shared Content" tab? I unchecked the checkboxes and restarted UMS, however the problem is still there. Every time I played files with the app, I cannot remove the folder in Windows until I shut down UMS. I tried an...

Cannot delete folders played using UMS
I'm using UMS to play music on my media player (Sangean WFT-3) and use the Android app "Hi-Fi Cast - Music Player" to select and play the files. In this app I can select UMS as the media server and my Sangean as the media player. UMS is instaled on a Windows 10 pc and the shared folders ar...

Re: UMS no longer visible with new installed router
It looks like I solved the problem. What I did was the following: I opened the setting: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Media streaming options There I had to enter a name for the Windows media server, so I entered some name (I named it WINPC). I checked my Sangean medi...

Re: UMS no longer visible with new installed router
Yes, both are wired connected (UTP).
Same as it was before. Only thing that has been changed in the configuration is the router.

UMS no longer visible with new installed router
I'm using UMS on a Windows 10 pc for some time now. As a music media player I have a Sangean WFT-3 device. The UMS server with the shared folders have always been visible on the Sangean, and I could select them and play the music files in these folders. The modem/router I always used in my home netw...

Re: Proceed with track 1 when playing an album has finished
Yes, that was my first thought too, but on the player de repeat function is turned off. So my guess was that there was perhaps some hidden setting in UMS which causes this behavior. And it is in fact not really a repeat I think. Only the album tracks that haven't been played are played yet, see my e...
