Re: Marked as played resets after restart
I thought about that but in this case the database is not being used due to corruption.

Re: Marked as played resets after restart
I think this confirms another copy of UMS is running as when you quit UMS it should release the database. I'm suspecting it could be running as a service if you find it in the registry in any section other than firewall rules, I just checked mine and this is where it shows up for UMS but javaw.exe i...

Re: Marked as played resets after restart
That could possibly be the cause but I know little about running UMS this way. I think this is what the option for running it as a service is there for so it starts before a user logs in, you just have to make sure that you don't run it again when windows actually starts otherwise it will end up wit...

Re: Marked as played resets after restart
Looking at the latest logs it seems another UMS is still running and so the database cannot be accessed and the ports for the web UI can't be used. I have seen this sometimes happen if UMS is told to switch to trace mode and restart for the logs but starts up before the previous process has quit. Fo...

Re: Marked as played resets after restart
I'm staying with family for a few days so not set up to examine the logs in any detail but did check a few things. One thing I suspected is the cache may be disabled but the setting shows it is enabled. I had a very quick look at the logs and saw this error at the beginning. DEBUG 2024-04-12 15:42:0...

Re: Videos suddenly not playing normally, ALL file sizes now gone
For some reason the forum held that post for approval. It should only do that for suspected spam. :? Only way I can be of any help is if I can see your logs to see if and why it is transcoding. One thing you have said that also makes me suspect a network problem is that the videos buffer even when p...

Re: Marked as played resets after restart
Sounds like a problem with the database.
Could you post your logs (see the section in red above) so I can see what is happening?

Re: Videos suddenly not playing normally, ALL file sizes now gone
Sounds like something is wrong with your network and its speed has significantly dropped. This is the only thing I can think of they would make UMS suddenly transcode videos that would previously stream. Only way to be sure is if you post your logs. See the section in red above. How is your network ...

Re: [Solved] cant play 2160p 4k video
Check your sound settings on your TV as something must be stopping the Yamaha seeing the DTS track from the TV when UMS is streaming the video. My old F series Samsung TV does not have eARC but it does have a digital audio out setting that I can select DTS. Yours might have something similar for pas...

Re: Inconsistent resource URLs between restarts
It's not the scanning that changed the IDs but browsing the folders. I think this is because files can be added and deleted and would create a mess to keep track of all of this. There is still a scan on startup option but this only check for new files and scans them which should take very little tim...
