MKV with AAC only 2.0 sound?

MKV with AAC only 2.0 sound?
Hi there, long time user (ps3 media server and SubJunk's branched build) but first time poster.
Today I came across a problem I never experienced before. I got my hands on the Complete Star Wars Saga in MKV format. For the first time ever the audio seems to be AAC and no matter what engine i choose the sound only plays in stereo (or Pro Logic)
Is there anything I can do to make this work in 5.1 as it usually does (DD or DTS) I'm streaming the movies from my PC to the PS3 and like I said
above I never had any problems with running the movies in 5.1
