Where is renderer.conf in macOS???

Post by DHK »

I'm trying to play an mp4 in Firefox on an iMac-M1 running macOS 13.1. I have another thread on this topic at viewtopic.php?t=15527. My problem is that the mp4 is much more blurry in UMS than Plex or native macOS Quicktime.

I've been told I should not be rendering, but should be streaming, but no one has been able to tell me where in macOS I can find renderer.conf to make the suggested modifications. However UMS is processing the video it is degrading it... I was hoping someone monitoring this part of the forum could tell me where the conf file is so I can modify it. Thanks.

With some suggestions from mik_s I found the answer: ~/Applications/Universal Media Server.app/Contents/Resources/renderers/DefaultRender.conf
