MKV Subtitle Size -TINY

Post by XImalerX »

Hello,

I am having an issue with certain mkv fies (It says the subs are VobSub) in which they are being displayed running UMS through a Samsung TV, but they are microscopic and un-readable.

The subs in this mkv look stylized when playing through the TV, almost as if the subs in the mkv are not being transcoded. Other mkv's dont have this issue and the subs are displayed in a large white font.

I ripped the subs into an srt and then the subs look fine playing through UMS and the TV, but normally the subs are large and use a plain white font without having to rip to srt.

The subs look normal size when playing on my PC.

I have tried playing with the subtitle settings, but havent had any luck. Any ideas?

Thanks

It appears that VobSub is for 3D subtitles found on BluRay. I have the IDX/Sub files, but when I put them in the directory witht he mkv (same file names) they are still tiny and un-readable.

I found this link here http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/vie ... 398#p36118
but, I have no idea what they are talking about or how to even configure that in UMS.

Can anyone explain how to do this please?

Thanks,
