How can I disable the search function

Post by JDN165 »

Recently a search function has been added to UMS.
I believe it's added in 11.4.0, where the Release Notes say "Enabled UPnP searching, with the ability to disable for problematic renderers".
Besides the fact that this search does not work on my audio renderer (Sangean), it takes up a lot of space on the browser display of the Sangean and on the remote control app (Undok).

So, my question is how to remove this search function. I can't find a setting for this in the UMS GUI and in the UMS.conf file. But maybe I didn't look hard enough...

I've added a printscreen of the app with the search section that I haven't seen before (same on the browser window of the Sangean device itself)

This will be in the renderer's conf file.

Code: Select all

# If UpnpSearchCapsEnabled is set to true, UMS will notify Media Renderer of available
# UPnP search capabilities. In case a renderer has issues browsing or searching
# content, set this property to false.
# Default: true
UpnpSearchCapsEnabled =
