RAM demands

Hi,
i recently updated from 11.3 to 13.4 and i am realizing that UMS is constantly using between 600 and 750 MB of my RAM, even if not used:

Is that normal?

It seems normal, mine is using over 500mb ATM. There was an increase to the default amount of memory UMS can use a few versions ago when it is installed if the system has plenty to spare. This helps make the database more efficient and speeds up browsing requests from renderers.
It probably is not actually using that much and unused space is returned to the system. That amount is just amount that UMS is allowed to use.
I use process explorer to replace taskman so its a little different for me, it shows javaw.exe using 529,888K private bytes but is using 298,548K in the
working set

I'm not sure if taskman is showing the working set or private bytes though.
The bigger your media library then the more memory will be allocated.
