Audio sync problem

Having audio sync problems when copying over certain files to PS3. All the .mkv files in the series (tv show) do it and is actually worse when I copy over the files as opposed to when I stream them directly from the computer to ps3, which I thought would be the opposite. Playback starts fine-ish and then about a quarter way in the sync completely falls apart. And on certain files video gets a bit choppy as well. Have tried mencoder, ffmpeg, both the same. Computer is wired, PS3 is wireless. Watching files on the computer are fine, no sync issues. Seems like every other file I copy over is fine, just these ones in this same series are buggared. Any suggestions?
