Supported Formats Tool

Post by DevlshOne »

Here's something I found today that I wish I'd found 6 months ago when I started using PMS/UMS!!

This UPNP Tool will allow you to choose "SPY" mode and get a list of all the formats that a particular UPNP device on your network will support!
Just install the package and start the "Device Spy" tool.

People are using it almost from the beginning of PMS, also mentioned in forum and on other places many times...and also mentioned (by me) that it can't detect all renderers...like my Panasonic TV :(

Sorry, ExSport, I've never seen it mentioned before! This thing should be a required download for anyone trying to create their own CONF files.

I agree it is a must 8-) . Only wanted to say that it is also mentioned in PMS FAQ somewhere. Unfortunatelly it doesn't work in all cases :?

I noticed that. It didn't pick up either of my PS3's or my wireless devices.

I've spent a lot of years around the PMS forums and now the UMS forum and I had never seen reference to it, glad you mentioned it here. Need to go check it out and see what kinda neat things I can do.
Peace!
