After a clean install of UMS 5.1.1 PS3 now shows error "Media Server Error: A network error has occurred (80711008)" for ALL my music files. In UMS 5.1.0 not all music files would show, but the ones that did played OK. Older version of UMS 4.x.x play all my music files as does the the old PMS 1.90.1.

I discovered that UPS 5.1.1 will play WMA files and not MP3's, but the time duration does not display correctly either. All other modes, Video and Photos, work OK for me. In case the latest PS3 update has any bearing, I am running Version 4.70.

Likewise, both FLAC and MP3 won't play.

Do you have an error at top of log about mediainfo library not loading? I also have no MP3 playing in 5.1.1, via Itunes library. I went back to 4.4.0 and MP3's played just fine and mediainfo library in log loads.

Yes,you're right! mediainfo.dll did not load. The one that is in the UMS folder is only 1KB in size! There is also a MediaInfo64.dll that is 4.12MB in the same folder, but apparently not referenced in the log.

This was in the log file:

Hopefully, there will be an update to resolve the problem.

I tried adding mediainfo.dll ver 0.7.71.0 from an earlier UMS version that matched mediainfo64.dll's version. While the debug log said it loaded ok it would hide all of the music files of any type with the following typical error for any music file:

The file C:\....\My Music\Chocolate Genius - Love.mp3 could not be parsed. It will be hidden

Obviously, putting in the other dll was not a solution!

in another post someone pointed out downloading mediainfo.dll and mediainfo64.dll from:

I have not tried, went back to 4.4.0.

Looking at dependencies link the mediainfo two DLLs are older versions in 5.1.1 than 4.4.0? however the time stamp on those dependencies is 9-2014 so likely not to date...that's my guess.

So think that's pointless to swap out those.

I tried both from the dll version 0.7.69.0 and got the same problem. It loads but hides the music files.
I also keep getting the following error just before it starts trying to parse the files. I am not sure if it has any bearing on the mediainfo issue.

I tested out mediainfo 0.7.72.0 and while it loaded OK the results were even worse. It hid every single type of music file. At least version 0.7.71.0 allowed a few to show up.

I understand from another post that a fix is on the way.

I updated UMS with the 5.1.1.1 fix update and I am still getting the same problem: mediainfo.dll will not load. Why is it only 13 Bytes in size? Only the mediainfo64.dll appears OK. Why does it not load since my PC is 64 bit?
