No video Resume status displayed in media list on Sharp Aquos 52LE840X TV Set


UMS Version: 13.9.0

On my old Sony Bravia TV sets (from 2011) i get a 'Resume' status displayed directly underneath the video


SETTINGS:

TAB: General Settings

Media sever engine: Default
Enabled renderers (needs ...

I would say that this is an un-official enquiry because to my knowledge UMS was not designed with this in mind

I have 2 linux OS's installed on my PC at any one time just in case the main os goes down i have a backup one i can use
I can successfully move the entire /home/USER-ACCOUNT/.config/UMS ...

Has there been any update on this ?

This is still an issue for me
Im currently on UMS version 13.5.0

Im playing a video when UMS just immediately stops playing

The Log just says:

14:03:03 INFO Setting video resolution to: 1920x1080, your Video Scaler setting
14:03:14 INFO Process /usr/bin/mencoder has a return code of 139! Maybe an error occurred... check the log file
14:03:49 INFO Stopped ...

This is also an attachment TXT file showing All files and folders for the Video File

Universal Media Server (UMS) - BUG - Subtitles Still show despite the following settings:




UMS Version: 11.1.1.1
OS: Linux

TAB: Transcoding Settings
Common Transcode Settings > Subtitles settings

Disable subtitles: ON

Despite this, UMS still plays all my videos just fine
I did not have this issue before with either of the versions i stated above
So, i suspect its a case of OS Updates that have changed things
I have tested both of these UMS version on 2 separate linux OS's - both are opensuse tumbleweed and both ...

UMS 11.1.0:

Under Transcoding settings TAB:

Cannot run program "/usr/bin/mencoder": error=13, Permission denied
Also for ALL other Engines as well


However, using UMS version 10.21.1 only had a permissions issue for tsMuxeR Video and tsMuxeR Audio - everything else was just fine

No problems/errors/anomolies at all in the Log

Thanks for the useful debug info, and thanks for your kind words about UMS :)
Like mik_s said, it looks like something is causing the local database connection to initially fail, and I guess we aren't handling that case (where the setting is enabled but database didn't connect) gracefully.
