Fresh installed UMS, no MP3/Flac media but DTS=ok (SOLVED)
I installed a fresh UMS 14.12.0 version on Debian 12.
Made a mount share to Multimedia folder on NAS (/mnt/Multimedia)
In this share are Music, Video and books (pdf etc) . The Music folder has DTS, MP3, Flac folders with corresponding Artist/Albums
The content of the MP3 and FLAC is not shown in UMS, but the DTS content is shown and also played on my Yamaha A2040
From the Debian server, I can access the share and also can go into the MP3 folder and drilling down to mp3 file level
Credentials for the share are fine as I can acces them with same credentials as for Plex Server
I also have a plex server and from here I can access MP3, FLAC without a problem and can play them also. DTS is also accessible , but is not playable/downmux for my Yamaha A2040
Does anyone know what is going wrong and what to change? It is just a simple setup for DLNA audio streaming to Yamaha RX A2040

Re: Fresh installed UMS, no MP3/Flac media but DTS=ok
I Killed this project/install and started a new on with ubuntu distribution. This one does show all the shares (DTS, FLAC, MP3) but was not visible on the network for my Receiver, so I killed this one also.
I will try a new Debian version and post my findings.

Re: Fresh installed UMS, no MP3/Flac media but DTS=ok
Today I started with a new Debian 10.x install. At first I did al the stuff I run into whilst installing UMS.
So installed the openjdk, cifs-utils, pip3/python3, default-jre, ffmpeg, unzip, wget, vlc and all updates&upgrades before installing UMS.
In the previous attempt I had to install jre, ffmpeg etc during UMS install while it asked for it.
I also created mount point to smb share where I have my audio files (DTS, FLAC, MP3)
After some time I got it working and UMS is publishing fine on the network and I can play all files (DTS, FLAC, MP3) trough my Yamaha RX-A2040
I was also able to add some radio streams (Dutch NPO, 538, Veronica ) so I can listen to Radio again after Ziggo killed FM transmission over Cable and Yamaha killed Vtuner support.
The only thing that I find annoying is the fact that, when you select an album and the first song, it will automatically play that song and the next (2nd) song/file, but then it stops. It does not continue to the 3th, 4th, 5th etc. I would be nice if it could play the whole album as other media player do (Plex)
But happy that I got this far
PS: running Debian in virtual environment (Virtualization Station) on QNAP TVS-472
